Join Our Community

The mission of our Volunteer Program is to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Aaron Manor. We invite you to join us as a volunteer at Aaron Manor and share in the joys and rewards of being a member of our community. Among those joys are the things we do with other people, sharing experiences, talking about what’s new, lending a hand to a friend, and exchanging ideas.

You will also be provided with experience for your resume, personal references, and recognition. And most of all, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you made life better for someone else.

How to volunteer
We are always looking for caring people to volunteer. We welcome individuals of all ages, 16 years or older and/or accompanied by and adult 16 years of age. If you or your organization is interested in learning more about volunteering at Aaron Manor, please contact our Volunteer Services Program at (585) 377-4000.

There is a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to match your individual interests. Each opportunity allows you to share your unique talents with others in our community.

Enriching Lives
We will work with you to find opportunities that are enjoyable for you and that fit well with your schedule. Whatever you interests, you can help enrich the lives of people at Aaron Manor. Here are just a few of the many opportunities for volunteers:

• Friendly Visitor
Become a friend to residents by visiting with them, playing cards, reading, writing letters, etc.

• Adopt a Grand Parent Program
Parents and their children have the opportunity to build a connection with a resident by visiting with them. Spend your time sharing stories, playing games, coloring, or reading with residents.

• Manicurist
Spend some time providing manicures to residents and have a friendly chat.

• Game Club
Stop by and play one of your favorite board or card games with residents.

• Spiritual Support
Escort residents to and from in-house religious services and spiritual services offered at Aaron Manor. You will have the opportunity to engage in religious discussions with residents or read religious writings to them.

• Transporter
Transport residents in wheel chairs to and from appointments within the facility. Engage in friendly conversation with residents as they await appointments.

• Shopper
Make purchases on behalf of residents who are unable to shop for themselves or have no family able to assist them with purchases.

• Recreation Activities
Offer assistance and support to residents as they participate in activities of their choice at Aaron Manor.

• Movie Night
Provide transportation for residents to movie night. Enjoy a show and some wonderful popcorn while spending quality time with residents.

• Seamstress
Offer services in hemming residents pants, attaching buttons, etc.
